SOLID STATE POLYMERIZATION
The Paul O. Abbé Rota-Cone vacuum reactor system gives you everything you need for complete control of crystallization and drying of PET, PBT, LCT, nylon and other polymers. It’s a complete system that provides vacuum levels down to 0.1 torr, temperatures over 500 F and includes all components such as vacuum pumps, condensers, heat exchangers, etc. that you need to get up and running as soon as the system is delivered.

The gentle tumbling action of the Paul O. Abbé Rota-Cone minimizes the creating of fines which polycondense at a faster rate. When the Paul O. Abbé Rota-Cone vacuum dryer is combined with a fluid bed pre-heater and fluid bed cooler, cycle times and running costs are further reduced.

The graph above provides some basic information on processing a large batch of PET in a Rota-Cone reactor. Ask the experts to help establish the process parameters to allow you to achieve the intrinsic viscosity required. Complete automation is achieved with state-of-the-art batch controls using PLC’s, timers, recorders and whatever else your process requires.
